Tickets now available
Tomorrow – 6 December – tickets for lit.COLOGNE 2017 go on sale. As soon as the programme appears on www.lit-cologne.de you should go online, browse the many events and note down your favourites. And then, of course, buy the tickets right there and then. By the way, all listings display the language of the readings.
lit.COLOGNE is not until March, but if you want tickets for one or more of the many events, you have to be quick – last-minute decisions are not an option in this case.
And as every year, the effort will certainly be worth your while. lit.COLOGNE is never just about well-known German and international writers, which would already be amazing in and of itself. No, it’s a meeting place for actors, musicians, politicians and many more, and the organisers of this literary festival never fail to come up with some rather intriguing constellations. Where else would you be able to witness crime writer Val McDermid on stage next to Mark Benecke, a German forensic expert, criminal biologist and politician? The venues, too, are never less than unusual, ranging from riverboats and the WDR broadcasting centre to the local football stadium.
By the way, the readings are only one part of the fun. Look out for philosophical debates as well as wonderfully comical conversations between the hosts, the writers and the audience.
Good luck with the ticket hunt for the great 2017 edition of lit.COLOGNE!
